I am not going to dispute the point you are making for your argument. However, please keep in mind that all countries in Africa are not created equal (similar to West Europe or the Balkan States)

Some of the early African tribes were actually quite advanced, developing their own tools, languages, housing and city/settlement structure.

Even today, some of African countries would be very welcoming, like Nigeria or Congo.
