It's unclear where the 56-year-old was found, but police responded Sunday morning to the downtown offices of his law firm, Loncar & Associates, in the 400 block of South Cesar Chavez Boulevard.

The cause and manner of his death are under investigation, according to the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office. He was taken to Baylor University Medical Center overnight

The popular personal-injury lawyer made a name for himself as the "Strong Arm," a nickname that became a household word thanks to a series of TV ads starring himself.

His firm had offices in 11 cities across Texas and employed an "army" of almost 20 lawyers.

Anybody from Texas has seen his commercials for the last 20 years. Prayers for their family losing both he and his daughter in a matter of days.

That's a pretty sad story. Can't imagine what it's like to deal with the suicide of a 16 year old daughter.

Sadly, if Jan and Wayne Skyler reported it, it must be true.

I see his English and Spanish commercials here in east Texas. That's gotta be the hardest tragedy to try to overcome is burying your child and saying last goodbyes
