You know...it doesnt matter to me if they received any tax breaks from state or stimulous from federal...bottom line you and I and every tax payer for that matter pays them $7billion a year via defense contracts. Isnt that more than enough for them to keep 2k jobs in the US and not bite the hand that feeds you?

larger manufacturer could use the extra cash to attract better employees

Larger companiy would attract employees to that area and the area would become a destination for workers.

Larger company would improve infrastructure necessary for business like faster shipping from suppliers and other quality of life improvemts[

So gov should subsidize the little company who isn't competitive? Sounds so like an Obama deal

of these things would create an unfair advantage for the larger company,

So the whole Silicon Vally thing is just a big mistake and if only Apple would move to the middle of Nevada they would really take off since they wouldn't have to compete?

Business brings more business and if your not growing your contracting. There is no such thing as stagnant.

A deal has to be mutually beneficial for it to be a good deal. Extortion is not a way to do business.

Did they actually use the stimulus money?

I think I remember them saying they never claimed the awarded money. Is it confirmed one way or the other?

Municipalities often offer incentives, usually in the form of tax breaks, to entice businesses to locate within their jurisdiction. It's called economic development.

Carrier gets the tax breaks if they meet job growth production.

This all generates tax revenue for the state and local Municipality and puts money in the local economy.

Carrier moving to Mexico would have been a huge loss for them.

Carrier staying is a huge win. Carrier becoming more successful and more productive is a MASSIVE win.
