Obama spent 3% of his stimulus on infrastructure, and 97% on boosting various kinds of welfare programs. That's not an exaggeration.

The biggest portion of the stimulus was tax relief. I'm not saying that I like/dislike the stimulus bill that Obama signed, but it's intellectually dishonest to say that 97% was "welfare."

I mean, every form of government spending can be construed as welfare. However, if Trump's Carrier deal is not welfare to this board, then Obama's stimulus certainly was not 97% welfare.

The societal benefit to paid workers who build a bridge is immediate, but temporary, C. As such payment needs to be maintained. But the bridge last a long time. The right kind of paying and building can a long way toward benefiting our Nation as a whole.

Same with the Military, and Medicare. Tons of abuse, fraud, cronyism, etc. Trump has made his promise/boast; now we'll see if he delivers. He'd better, if he wants his head carved on Rushmore; the hair alone will be a negative toward that end.
