why? I won't have to deal with this myself but I couldn't imagine it being some huge deal if it was the case.

I don't have any kind of self esteem wrapped up in my last name. I literally had nothing to do with receiving it therefore my self esteem isn't tied to it like actual accomplishments and experiences in life which is where self esteem comes from.
