Good to hear. The recruiter just said he won't have to take it again, but probably won't be working on Tanks or Planes.

The recruiter is the used car salesman of the Armed Forces; he/she has quotas to fill. DO NOT let the recruiter talk him into doing something that he does not want to do. DO NOT let him go to basic "Open General". Before he signs enlistment papers he should have a AFSC/MOS picked out or at a maximum only of (3) options; none of those should be open ended to a career field. No offense to any of my military brothers or sisters but recruiters can be a little shady.
