Could actually be an argument against expanding the playoff.
More games = more need for rest time between games. Football isn't like March Madness where they can play multiple games in a week.
Which means lengthening the CFB season into late January. The NCAA wouldn't want this to conflict with basketball, and the NCAA wouldn't want their student athletes to have an even longer season
