At 2m, I wonder how long we can hold off the next suitors. Pretty confident in saying LSU will be Aranda's last college DC gig.

What's avg salary for an NFL DC?

What's the chances he slides straight into one and not have to take a step back to a pos coach?

We always talked about him being a college HC as what called him away. When did the NFL DC thing come about?

People were saying yesterday that his interest was in the NFL yesterday due to some meeting he had with Alleva. Given the nature of "sources" in the last week, I'd take it for what it's worth, which is nothing.

The average salary for a DC in the NFL is 850K a year.

Nothing is ever a "done deal" until the ink is on the paper. But I'd expect him to stay, and I've been pessimistic about our HC options this go around, but I feel good about keeping him.

Well that's encouraging. He'd definitely have to take a cut to jump. Nobody is gonna pay a 1st time DC 2mil. Doesn't matter what he did at the college level

Why hasn't Arranda signed his contract? Alleva's incompetence is turning me into a little bitch, and I don't like it.

. Yeah, I'm not worried about him going to Texas. Helping a friend out is one thing. Taking a pay cut and potentially commiting career suicide to help out a friend is another. Aranda re-signing is a formality

He's already under contract and the new can't be approved by the board until January. He can't sign it yet.

When someone actually asked him. The college HC talk was mostly just assumption.

NFL DC salaries aren't usually made public but I've seen anywhere from 650K up to 2M tossed around. Our best hope is he wants to hold out for a good job and doesn't want to just get his foot in the door. No way to really know.
