Check this one out. I never would have believed it would work until I saw it with my own eyes. It is slightly bigger than a cell phone but holds a charge for 6 months. Watched it take a car battery that wouldn't turn on the radio and started it within 10 seconds (hooked up the cables and went to the ignition and it started without hesitation). They have one specifically for marine use.

I always carry one of the Weego chargers that LSUCRNA mentioned in my truck. It gets used more often by us than with a normal user. It has saved several trips back to the shop due to a dead battery on a boat we are testing. We have used it to crank anything from a bateau with a 50 to a bay boat with a 350 outboard or even a big block MerCruiser. It's also compact and very convenient to carry in a blind bag to recharge a cell phone or even a GoPro with the USB plug.

Those Weego starters are 20% off today, there's a coupon code on the website. Got the "industrial" one shipped for a total of $151.99.
