I spoke with some friends who went by Mahony's last night and they said it didn't look good. Everything, beer, mixed drinks, shots, etc were all $3. Cash only. Barring they had it in stock.

RIP to the $7 Thursday lunch deal

Nothing seems to make it there. I wonder why. What's Northgate like these days?

Until that area gets parking, nothing will ever survive unless it delivers everything.

It's probably not practical but I always thought that location should try to recreate the Bayou as much as possible and reopen under that name. That bar had a tiny bit of historical significance, as much as a place like Baton Rouge would retain. But I realize the people it would appeal to probably don't care anymore.

I loved that place. Always cheap beer prices and a lot of options. Good burger special. Great for gameday

It was nothing special. As long as they keep Slinky's open.

And I do not know how Cerrano's went under (if that is the story) and yet Barcadia still opens its doors and pays its employees.

With the parking situation what it is, nothing will survive there.

How do you even begin to fix the parking problem?

You sure? They seemed to have gotten kind of popular. Last few times I went there were plenty of people. They were always a solid alterative (and the only) good alternative to the Chimes. Strange that a place would be looking to close see before school was over.

There are always parking spots at the LSU Lot across the street.
