I'll lend you the money at 50% interest if the car is worth $3500 after it's fixed.

If you're serious I would take that offer

So what did you end up doing back in April when you were strangely in the same predicament?
Seems like a pattern?

What do you have of value that you can sell?

J_golftime,
I made a couple of calls for you. I have family in the auto repair business and sometimes shite happens. They recommended One Road Lending. They approve everyone for loans for car repairs.
LINK
The rates suck. They aren't posted but I can do math and figured it out at 32.5% if you take it out a year. If you pay it off in three months, then it becomes about 25%.
Also, as a favor to me for actually feeling sorry for your predicament and trying to help you out, the next time you have $7.00 to spend pick up a used copy of The Total Money Makeover and read it.

If you're making enough money to pay back $3,500 before the interest eats you alive, why weren't you carrying collision on a car you couldn't afford to repair?
Well, he had the debt from the car repair back in April ...

So I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he spends too much on booze, drugs, and/or gambling.

I dunno.
But if he's making enough money at his job to pay this off real soon like he says, then why didn't he do this back in April?
Unless of course he's just trolling this board, which is what I suspect is really the case.
