What do you do for a living and realistically how quick can you pay it back with 30% interest?

I don't have any solutions for you, but I'll pray for you and pray that you find one that is suitable.

If you're making enough money to pay back $3,500 before the interest eats you alive, why weren't you carrying collision on a car you couldn't afford to repair?

Go to one of the independent used car lots that specialize in no money down financing for people with bad credit. Explain your situation, that you need a better car and cash back out of the deal. They will usually put together almost any kind of deal if it gets them the high interest financing.

Could you ask your employer for an advance? Have him take it out the payments out of your check.

Pretty fast is pretty vague, give a time frame.

I'd recommend going with something else before going this route.

Maybe it's my cynical nature, but when you say car repair, do you really mean, "money to pay off a weekend bender with Dr. Feelgood and the exacta you missed out on,"?

Asking for a friend...

If you can "pay it back pretty fast" honestly what you may need is a payday loan. For larger amounts sometimes they can stretch it out over a few paychecks.

Have you tried something like OneMain financial?

Then it is a sunk cost. Go get a different car. So to one of those places that deal in bad credit, like JD Byright. You will pay $16000 for a car worth $5500.

So what did you end up doing back in April when you were strangely in the same predicament?

Seems like a pattern?

Had he just sold the car then and rode the bus until he got back on his feet, he likely wouldn't have needed to post this thread.
