re: Mood in Austin

Austin is an odd place.

Have a kid at UT so have spent time there as a parent.

There's a weird split between old school UT/Austin people and the newer ones that are representative of what UT has become (over the top liberal bastion, don't offend anyone, etc.).

Seems to have filtered into athletics.

Between that divide, and the inflated egos which both groups seem to possess, it's hard to see them getting this potential hire right.
