Likely the latter. These individuals are afforded everything and probably become bored quickly. They then seem other more "sadistic" outlets.

If this stuff is true, I think it's sort of an initiation into the upper level of power. Once you take part the others now have leverage over you. If you participate one time you are susceptible to being blackmailed forever.

Pedophiles aren't suddenly created in their adulthood. It's created in their childhood.

It's not even concentrated among the "powerful". It runs in all rungs of the power and income spectrum. It's in trailer parks, ghettos, suburbs, and gated communities.

We barely give it much notice when Joe Sixpack from Bama diddles his niece while his brother is out deer hunting. But we seem to be more alarmed when Joe Caviar III uses his wealth to import a little boy from Thailand to diddle.

They both believe they can get away with it, but the primary difference is the moron pedophiles think they can just deny it. The wealthy and connected pedophiles can use their wealth to insulate their risk. The wealthy ones are less likely to molest relatives. They prefer strangers because it reduces the connectivity. They also live in a world where money can buy influence and the illusion of loyalty.

I think it's a combination of those two. People in power love to dominate and who is easier to dominate than children?

Also think some are caught up in black mail situations where the pedophilia can be hung over their heads by the elite/Order leaders.

My tinfoil theory is that people make deals with the devil for power. One side effect of that power is that the devil makes them attracted to children, knowing that by doing so, they will likely sow the seeds of their own demise. The devil's offers are always tempting, but they are always flawed and come with a price.
