Josh Booty was QB ahead of Rohan Davey because of racism. Nevermind the fact that Booty was rated as equal to Peyton Manning coming out of high school, it was racist. Discussions of Pete Maravich focused on how Pete's fame and stats were inflated because of racism, and "they had to have the white boy there".
My own hiring (I'm a white guy) was a racist thing, as it was a short term position at a state job. I took someone else's job.
This was a black guy who's brother was a famous athlete from a SWAC school. We tried to be civil, since we worked together, but he was always seething about something just under the surface. I'd try to ask about his brother's NFL experiences, we'd talk football, and sooner or later he would let loose with a blast of bile about some perceived slight.
I've had many black friends who treated me as well as I could ever ask (a couple would drop anything at a moment's notice if I ever needed something, and there were times that happened). One such guy kept my head on straight when I went through a divorce 20 years ago. But there are some people in the world who are filled with hate, and yes, some are black.

Black guy here.
Most black people dont hate whites. Id say about 60-65% dont mind whites and actually have a desire for white acceptance. This is especially true for folks that grew up in the 80s when the economy improved and more blacks became homebuyers. But there ARE elements of mistrust of whites, to varying degrees based on life experience, upbringing, age, etc.
I was talking to a conservative friend recently. Im a moderate Democrat that could swing either way under the circumstances. I revealed to him that that more and more blacks are getting fed up with the Democratic Party, and the GOP should start making moves to accept us. He agreed.
A large majority of blacks folks are just trying to live a good life and raise good families just like white people are. But the media always portrays us as lazy moochers who want nothing out of life, or criminals looking to scheme the system. Some of those exist, but not the majority. Its the same way the media portrays all conservative whites as lunatic bigots, when thats just not the case. Meet people, talk to people and sooner or later there will be less friction and more understanding.

None of my black friends hate me that I know of and I surely don;t hate them. When I was in Iraq some of my best friends were black guy that saved my life. We were all americans and we still are today.

I have a black female co worker. Told me all kinds of crazy shite she was taught as a child about white people. The funniest I remember was that all white babies are born with a tail that is removed shortly after birth.

I feel like theres a small percentage of younger millenial blacks that feel "disenfranchised" by white people (supposedly). The rest are trying to make their way in the world like anyone else. The older blacks probably shake their head at the current situations because they probably faced twice as much discrimination and prejudice. Anyways, I'm pretty sure I've only seen the outraged types on television or the internet.
I also think some of the "outraged" black people you see from BLM, and the random tweets/"racism" moments probably turn around and act like normal people the rest of the time.

I hope so. Not because I'm a republican or anything, as I also consider myself a moderate democrat, but because I know that black people have voted something like over 90% democratic since 1936, and it would seem to me that if they started swinging Republican they're finally thinking about shite instead of just blindly voting Democratic. Frankly, both sides have failed blacks, both sides have failed a LOT of people.
ETA: Not +90%, but definitely a large majority.

The media and Democratic Party, and especially our outgoing President, have continued to perpetuate racial discord because it fuels their agenda. And they've been somewhat successful, especially in the inner cities (whitey is keeping you down, but I'm gonna hand you this assistance check), but if one looks at county by county votes, I suspect you'd find any number of black voters with homes and jobs that are as tired of that hate mongering as the rest of us.

I grew up in a town where EVERY white person used the N word freely when in white company. Hell, we had a real live minstrel show at the country club with black face and N jokes. People brought their kids.
It wasn't until I left for college tthat I joined the real world.
Now, of course, those same folks act like black folk are whining about imaginary racism.

The black people I've associated with throughout school and work have been swell. All well educated, polite, "well spoken" and the like.
In college, I worked at a large warehouse in BR that was 90% black. Mostly uneducated. My experience there was that a vast majority were nice, a handful were assholes to me. Maybe they were racist. Maybe they were just assholes. It would be hypocritical of me to simply blame the (again, seldom) bad treatment on racism while I blow off a vast majority of black people screaming racism. Some people are just assholes, not necessarily for racial reasons.
I will say, though, that black people (and any really any minority besides Asians) can get a pass on blatant racism. No such luck for whites. I think that's why black racism against whites stands out more to some people here. Not because it's more common, but because it isn't frowned upon by the masses. Whereas telling one racial joke in private ruined that fat old broad's cooking show career.
