Welcome to adulthood. You don't have off days? Vacation time? Nothing on this earth is more important than your children. Sounds like the kids are young and will be able to stay up later soon. I wouldn't leave a well paying job when in the next year or two, they will be able to stay up later. Make a conscious effort to leave work earlier some days. On your off days, spend 100% time with them. Let them know that you love them with all
Your being, but you also have to work to provide for them and their future. Hell. Take your lunch break and pick them up from school/daycare and just hang out with them/have lunch with them.

I make ok money, but I won't kid you, I'm only at my current company b/c I get 8 wks of vacation a year. The time off is worth more to me than salary. I travel a lot and it's nice to have that time off. I have friends who make $20k a year more than me, but only get a week or two vacation time. They envy me, not the other way around

My daighters are 7, 4 and we are about to have another girl in mid Dec. And yes I have weekends off. I think part of my stress is the fact that my pregnant wife is beyond awesome with making sure the kids are taken care of every morning and evening, takes care of whatever needs to be done, and never complains about the hours I work despite having a stressful job herself. To me, she shouldnt have to do almost everything on her own because Im always at work. At least thats not how I was brought up as a child. Yea my job is to provide for my family but at the same time Im also supposed to be a father and husband as well.

I think Im going to start off by setting an alarm on my phone where I need to stop at 5/530 everyday no matter what. That would at least be a start. In the meantime I'll continue to see what else is out there
