people still seem to be in the dark about this somehow, but bama cheats, and they always have. they would still be good without cheating, but the one and only reason they're this good is because they break every rule there is.

lets focus on recruiting.

Pete Carrol was at USC from 2001 to 2009, is widely regarded as a GREAT recruiter, and basically had everything west of Texas to himself. his classes were ranked:

20, 8, 2, 2, 1, 1, 2, 4, 3.

Urban might be even better than Carrol. He was at Florida when the U and FSU were both down. his classes went...

12, 2, 1, 6, 7, 1

at Ohio State he's gone...

5, 2, 3, 7

here at LSU, Miles went...

13, 9, 5, 12, 1, 8, 8, 14, 6, 2, 6, 3

Saban doesnt even have the state of Alabama to himself, not to mention programs like Fla State, UGA, Clemson, LSU, and now Ole Miss all going after the same regional kids, and his classes have gone:

13, 3, 2, 5, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1.

this is an impossible number.

that's more consecutive number 1 classes then Carrol, Urban, and Miles have ever had combined.

this is not possible without cheating in every way imaginable. it just isnt. its not even remotely close to possible.

oh and btw, that run started in 2007, just 5 years after bama was on the verge of the death penalty for "some of the worst (recruiting violations) that have ever occurred."

dj fluker literally tweeted "Yea I took $ n college so wat". he is from a terrible part of new orleans; after katrina, all 5 members of his family lived in a ford escort. here he is at bama with his cadillac

former bama DE Luther Davis had a mountain of evidence documenting payouts to Fluker and others.

"The records were turned over to Yahoo Sports by a source with ties to the NFL agent community who alleged that Davis was acting as an intermediary between several high-profile college football stars and multiple NFL agents and financial advisers."

as i already said, 5 years before saban got there, bama was on the verge of the death penalty for buying players. after 40 years of that you think the alumni just stopped overnight, and all these number 1 recruiting classes now are unrelated?

(and then theres sabans very long history of sign-stealing, just like his mentor belichick does. that sure as hell helps)

And his brother was on scholarship as an equipment manager at Alabama.

All the big dogs partake in this and you would be a fool to think otherwise. When I worked a bogies I thought we would get recruiting violations every Wednesday night just from someone taking a picture of the parking lot.

Until we are willing to match the spending and pushing the rules to the limit. We or anyone else won't match them on the field

Saban has ALWAYS recruited well. A few years ago bama, with the help of espn, became "America's Team". And with the hire of Kiffin, they now recruit the west coast. Graet players, great coaching is hard to beat. Add an SEC front office and officials that are gumpers and it makes them very difficult to beat.

It's Tuesday.... Time to move on sore loser... Serious. I have never seen a fan base as pissy as this one. Always someone else's fault. LSU is supposed to go unbeaten every year. Newsflash..... That's not gonna happen.

Dude, we know. Those of us who can actually look at the situation objectively. Youll get some shite, about how there is no way lord saban is cheating.....but you can book it, he and Alabama are as dirty of a program as any out there. Problem is, the SEC and NCAA have no motivation to do anything about it.

People hating on OP because he just reminded us of the unspoken truth behind college football. I just spent 30 minutes educating myself about current NCAA President Mark Emmert (thanks to a previous post above). He's come a long way since Montana, and the man did many good things for LSU so I'm not going to trash him.

Money and politics are going to feature in any human endeavor (including college football), because that's just how the world turns.

For all of you thinking the OP is just sour grapes, wake up.

And for all of you thinking college football players should be paid, that's what the NFL is for. These kids are offered a free college education in exchange for their service. They can earn their millions after what? Two years? Speaking of millions, how many millions of people in this country are living below poverty level and would love the opportunity to have a free college education?

We start paying kids a salary to play college and then what? What's the cap? Is there a cap? You know that money will cut into the cost of all the other college sports programs, right? Baseball, basketball, soccer, swimming, track and field, on and on. Pay the football players and that means less money for America's Universities. So we should squeeze more money out of our higher education system to prop up future 1% members?

Let them go straight to the NFL from High School. I will STILL watch the games with the 99% that doesn't draft, and support MY university which afforded me so many opportunities to develop into a better human being.

God Bless LSU and GEAUX Tigers!

and the Bama obsession continues...

Really sad that fans resort to this kind of thinking.

I'm as pissed as anyone else that we can't beat Bama, but it doesn't mean Saban's cheating. And it doesn't mean the refs are cheating.

Unfortunately right now, Bama's just better in every aspect of the program. Acknowledge it, hire the right new HC, and work harder to bridge the gap.

But don't lob out accusations of cheating. It makes you look pathetic.

No Bama is that good because they have that good of a coach. End of discussion, there is no arguing it.

Google "distended gut syndrome." It's a side effect of human growth hormone where the abdomen becomes prominent because the internal organs are enlarged. Very noticeable among some Alabama players. Trent Richardson and Derrick Henry both had it.

Most of us read Grisham novels, right? He has a gift for exposing corruption, inequities, injustice, etc., especially in the South. His current novel is about a crooked Florida judge, in cahoots with sharp southern criminal making boatloads of cash off an impoverished Florida Indian tribe's casino and surrounding developable land.
I wonder if Grisham has the stones to take on this travesty???
Surely, one of you bright people who know him can plant that seed.
Call me what you want, but I think the OPs argument is sound...
What say you Mr Grisham???
They're effing up your team, too, with their chicanery...

you act like Bama is the only school to pay players. I would put some money that almost every power 5 conference school give players money.
