I think we all can agree that the team that controls the LOS wins the game. Will the O-line play better than it did in Tuscaloosa last year? I remember there being injuries on the line last year and Moore the FB was also hurt. I've heard our O-line is healthy going into this game, can it hold up?

One on one? No. We will need TE help and find a way to back those OLBs off the LOS. We hit a few quick passes or screens for big gains it will help. The main thing is Saban won't stop going at Etling unless we actually beat them more than once or twice. He will be relentless.

Not sure , there gonna make plays. I'm sure they will get to etling multiple times ...just need to hold on to the football. No turnovers and we have a chance . We are gonna get to hurts as well.

Obviously I've missed them. I think we'll have to use TE's as blockers a lot during the game just to give us a chance to move the ball.

This is where the ACE formation and using the TEs in motion could help a ton. One, it give us the option to run to either side. And two, putting guys in motion can tell a QB a lot about coverages and reads. Etling seems like he can take all of that in rather quickly. It's going to be really interesting to see this play out Saturday. At least for once I feel like we have some kind of a shot offensively.

Teahuma and Boutte can physically match up strength wise with them, Clapp and Pocic better out technique them. Malone pretty strong also. I think our o-line can hold there own against them as well as anyone they have faced this year or maybe even better. At least we can slow them down enough to maybe set some things up on offense. They will get Fournette a little room to where he isn't getting hit in the backfield every play like last year and Etling won't be getting swarmed right at the snap. We'll have our chances this year especially with the new play calling to keep them off balance.

I've read some threads where people think we have a good chance to beat bama, given that we have opened up the offense, and actually have more players that will be drafted in the upcoming draft, and also the fact we are home in an electric atmosphere. Shame on those people though right? It is hilarious that it actually pisses you off that people think LSU has a good chance to win. What a pathetic/miserable individual you are.

It helps when the defense doesn't know what play is coming. Good ole les....do what we do. Lol

Are you saying etling is smarter than BH, or has a higher football IQ? Shame on you, that could be considered racist. Didn't you know BH has a stronger arm and therefore much more upside? Lol

Yes. I'm straight up saying that. I'm fairly certain Harris didn't make too many pre-snap reads. He definitely didn't know what a progression was. Etling actually looks like a QB most of the time.

I think our 21 personnel matches up with their 3-4 defense.

For last years Bama game (in the first half), LSU's oline held-up pretty well for pass protection after it was apparent that Bama was going to load the box to stop Fournette. That is what allowed LSU to tie the game at 10 - 10....at 3:00 before halftime....

It's my opinion that slow developing pass plays (Harris indecisiveness) caused our oline to pass protect for unusually long time spans to try and allow Harris to find a receiver downfield....

The slow developing pass plays fatigued our O-line which is mainly built for mauling (run blocking)....

So....in my opinion, if Etling can read the defense well (for possible blitzes and other miss-matches), & if he can get rid of the ball quickly....our O-line will be able to move the ball, running lanes will open up and our offense will have a better chance to succeed (& not fatigue the way they did in the 2nd half of the Bama game).

Re-watch the game....the score would have stayed tied at the half if Bama would not have hit a huge 55 yard field goal....((LSU did a great job keeping the Bama offense from scoring a TD right before the half)...and to top it off, LSU had to kick it off to Bama to start the 2nd half

Incidentally, that big sack by ole miss that nailed Etling......the guy who was lined up opposite the D-linemen that sacked Etling, totally moved past him and blocked a LB 3 yards downfield.....was that a miscommunication? Was the LB really his assignment? Did Etling fail to read that the D-lineman would go unblocked?

LSU can not afford to whiff on assignments against Bama...

Can you define "destroy" please? And then use it in a sentence? Are there any alternate pronunciations? I don't think I understand this word you are using.

Well their Linebackers cannot creep up any more Than they did last year. Saban pulls that shite, Lsu will burn their arse on a slip screen. Lsu is running more a one back set so if Saban crowds the line, bama will get Burned eventually. I see Saban calling delay blitz than just over power the line Iike last year.
