Lets not get out of control here. I wouldn't rate him a A but yes he is light years ahead of what we are used to.

I would grade him at a B. We have grown accustomed to poor qb play so much that a B quarterback seems like an A. The great thing about LSU, is that he's driving a Ferrari of talent where most other teams (like Perdue) are driving Toyota talent. We shall see how he stacks up against another Ferrari very soon. I have always said that we don't need a Jamarcus Russel 2006 to win games. We just need solid Mauck and Flynn Quarterbacks (B+ quarterbacks) that can complete enough pass plays to keep defenses honest. I like what we have now and am excited for LSU's future, especially with that stud QB coming in next year. He seems like a legit A+ qb at least in HS. Time will tell if he's an A college QB.
