its hard to blame them at this point. O has pushed every single right button. He has corrected the Les Miles issues. Just from what we have seen publicly its hard to not have confidence that O has a very well developed plan for how to get the program to competing again.

this is why i haven't written him off. I have no issue with anything he has done so far as a head coach even on an interim basis. this isn't a one or two game stretch at the end of the year this is the meat of the schedule and he has made multiple necessary changes to the program and really done a great job of putting his stamp on the program. If he were just doing a Hal Hunter and getting the team up for 1 game at the end of the year when we had nothing to play for i wouldn't even consider him but he has changed practice schedule, offensive philosophy, the games are well managed and he his recruiting his arse off. It doesn't seem like even the never O people have an issue with any of those items either.

It isn't hard to blame them if there is not a real coaching search.

This should be a business decision. Put him next to all other interested candidates and line item their credentials and accomplishments. Hire the most qualified candidate. What's hard about that? This team is literally a multi-million dollar a year business. Can't run it like it's a 8 year old's clubhouse.
