Go with an Akorn or something similar. In my experience, pellet grills don't get hot enough to sear steaks. Akorn will get you familiar with the smoking process while still being able to ramp up to searing temps easily.

Went from an Akorn to a Yoder. Now if I want a steak or something I just sear it on a cast iron pan.

I have the opportunity of obtaining a Louisiana Grills pellet grill in my price range. Found a guy selling his for $100. There is a problem with the auger. Should be fixable.

With this "deal" do yall still think Akorn?

I'm not extremely familiar with LG products. Thanks
