Liquid wrench.

Don't use WD-40 it will just gum it all up and you won't be able to move it (been there done that)

Xenon – thx for the link and info, sounds like some kroil, tapping/knocking the barrel, a vise w/ soft jaws and gentle heat is the way to go. I don’t think i need the stuck choke tool since its an extended choke it sticks out an inch+ from the barrel so if worse comes to worse we can always cinch down vise grips on the choke and gorilla .... the choke into submission. Just going to have to be patient and do it over a number of days.

Thx to all for advice, I will let you know how it goes.
