When State's running back scored by crawling into the end zone on fourth down (he was clearly down, but it was before replay)...Just a sad memory of that year...

LSU led 10-0 in the game before State got on the board with a safety. Then it was 10-5 at halftime. The Dawgs used a 14 play, 6:30 minute drive to win the game by scoring on a one yard TD run with under two minutes remaining.

Yes I recall watching this fiasco on TV but you say was 10-5 (from a safety) at HT, and they won with the TD so it was 16-10 before they scored? How did they get the other 5?

I thought it was Madkin, the quarterback. I remember the play. He "jumped" into the endzone from his knees on the one yard line.

It was the one time that LSU got f*cked and I was okay with it as it was one of the final nails in Dinardo's coffin.

I'll never forget that play. That one bad call caused the only loss we had to State in like 20 years straight. Helped lead to Dinardo getting fired and Saban coming in though

I was there. They were Dirty dog dancin on side line. Pig prather running his mouth. Pork chop womack being all fat and stuff. They had printed newspapers that said "7-0" they were handing out immediately after the game.

And yes, he bounced at the 2 or 3 yard line on 4th down and they called it a TD. Trev Faulk threw his helmet into orbit.

I put this game as a 16-11 LSU win in my record book. Until 2014, LSU had beaten State 24 straight. frick that 1999 game. And that season. That team lost to UGA, UK, Ole Miss, MSU and Auburn in just the most unreal ways. I think money was passed along...
