Celestron Nature binoculars. I've had several different brands and these have the best light gathering ability of any on the market no matter the price. These guys started as a telescope company so their opticss are excellent.

The 9x63 SkyMasters are good if you are looking for a little bigger option

Celestron Nature binoculars.

I have a pair of these in 10x42. I don't know shite about binocs. All I'd ever had was the little cheapie ones from walmart or whatever. Trapping hawks, I have to distinguish between a juvenile and adult to avoid wasting time. So, I finally started doing some research on better binoculars. These got excellent reviews everywhere I looked, usually rated as high or higher than models from other companies in much higher price brackets. I think I paid less than $150 for mine. I don't know how they compare to $1000 binoculars, but for the money I'm very pleased. They're 100X better than the cheapies I've owned.
