Coming from someone that sits in the middle of the argument, I'm saying the over arching principle of gun ownership isn't going anywhere.

However, you could see limited restrictions enacted in my lifetime
Such as,
Stricter limitations on magazine size, more restrictions on where you can and can't bring a gun, possibly mandatory gun safety class, and even mandatory registration of all gun transactions to create a data base.

I'm not here to argue whether or not they are good ideas but rather state that those are possible.
You won't see confiscation, too much case law and not even remotely practical.

That is a list of restrictions I am 100% against.

No law at the Federal level will touch that again. Plus recent court decisions make the survival of such a law to court challenge very dim.

There's a great gif image you can Google that shows what's happened with Right-To-Carry laws since the 1990's. You might want to look it up.
