re: Paid/guided deer hunt suggestions.

Two of us hunt on a friends ranch in south Texas about an 8 hour drive from BR. We are on a meat hunt, cull bucks and does. We each see on average 10 deer per hunt with several quality bucks. Besides us, only 2-3 other family members hunt the ranch. If I remember right it is just under 350 acres low fence. He was discussing last year about selling a few hunts for the 2016/17 year but he hasn't done so yet.

It's not upscale by any means, but a fun time seeing a lot of deer and often hogs. If you are interested leave some contact info.

He has a place to stay but you provide your meals. There is a BBQ pit so we usually cook outside. There is nothing like sitting outside on a clear night with a full stomach looking at the stars smoking a quality cigar and drinking some fine wine talking about the deer we saw.
