Wouldn't that eliminate Herman?
He hasn't had time to build his program and he hasn't reached top 5 level yet.

top 5 level in what exactly? Not enough time to build his program? Look at Houston's record 2 years before Herman compared to his two years at the program.

We are talking about a coach that beat Florida State and Oklahoma in back to back games in 2016. And Herman is recruiting right along with all the top programs with Houston's resources. He is obviously the exception to the rule when it comes to hiring coaches with G5 success.
