QB is the most important position in the NFL. Show me your QB and I'll show you your record..........or something like that

Since the beginning..The QB position was important... But since the 2000's this is not the case.. QB'S ARE the whole game now... If you were young enough to watch the NFL for the last 40 years you will not understand the evolution of the NFL......

Obviously there are some outliers and game managers (Dilfer), and it is a major indicator of grateness, IMO.

But I think it's more of a situation where it's a sign that you can survive an entire season of with plenty of adversity and close calls, you led your team to the right wins at the right time at the end of the season, and you wound up on top.

Manning and Favre are perfect examples. Favre could have had about 3 or 4 rings, but he had a tendency to make the stupidest play ever at the exact worst time. Ask Corey Webster and Tracy Porter. That's why he's one of the greatest but he's not THE greatest.

Why does Peyton Manning have 2 and not like 4-6. Because when he had the chance, he and his teammates came up small. Hell, the reason you could argue that he even got two in the first place because he faced two of the most un-clutch big-stage Super Bowl QBs ever.
