like everyone else as bulbs burn out I am replacing only w/ LED (unless its some specialty bulb Mrs Ontario has in a fixture). CFL bulbs were a bust IMO they don't last as long as they said and are a PITA to get rid of due to mercury. They also don't work worth a GD in the cold (ballast issues).
Walmarks and hardware chain had 40 and 60 watt equivalent LED bulbs on at 99 cents each so I got 20 of each and went around replacing CFLs where I could.

Converted almost all to LED, expect for lights with occasional, short duration use such as over sink, stove vent, and closets.
Lower consumption to power an LED should result in a lower bill, but I have nothing to back it up wrt my bill.
