If you read the fine print on bulbs, they usually calculate a day as 4 hours of use. If you have some lights that are on all the time, they might fall far short of that mark.

I have been slowly making the switch, picking up a pack or 2 every now and then.
I have the Philips brand and have had great luck other than 1 bulb that failed after less than a year in a lamp that is used for about 3 hours per night.
