I agree, but I believe there was more of a chance of a complete collapse had LSU not fired Miles. A week to dwell on the last -1 second loss to Auburn, 2-2 record, Miles trying to distract attention, torches and pitchforks outside Tiger Stadium, you get the drift.
Although it still could happen, bad things can spiral and get out of control quickly, but I think it's unlikely.
Like I said, some players may feel slight pressure to perform since their coach(es) got fired, but that will wane. I believe there will be less anxiety for the players in general. I'm sure they're jacked to get on the field and put an end to the non-field related issues.
I'm expecting a good outcome, but even if it isn't, the atmosphere will be more apathy than anger surrounding the team. Not that apathy is good, but it's a lot better than the overwhelming negativity that's been darkening the program for quite some time.
