The iPhone has been vulnerable to iBeacon tracking dating back to 2010.

Android phones started supporting similar technology in 2013.

Mine on Android isn't tied to Bluetooth and is extremely accurate, unless you're in a garage.


The reason I know it's not tied to Bluetooth is one time I took an Uber and it told me I may have parked there. However, it still knew where my car was actually parked.
