So, I posted earlier about finishing my basement and running wires...well, I forgot to run the wire that you stick in front of the TV and then run to the closet and it relays the IR signal to all the components. What are my options for doing this wirelessly?

I found a unit that looks like you replace a battery in the remote and then stick another unit in the closet that seems like it would work - but before I buy, is this my best option? BAsically it converts IR to RF and then back to IR LINK

Is there anything that uses wifi? IR to wifi to IR? Other options?

Thanks guys.

I've used one of those IR/RF transmitters before and it worked fine (back in college)

You can't run a couple of strings in your other wires and pull the IR wire through and then pull the other cord back through?

Why not just run the wire now?

If possible, use your strongest/thinnest (judgment call) cable to pull a leader through the chase and tie the the leader to the original cable and the ir.
