he didnt light the world on fire as head coach at ole miss, but that was ole miss of another era and another phase in his career. he did quite well at USC. he apparently is a top notch recruiter. in his incredibly brief tenure as LSU HC he has already made great decisions if it's true he is the one that relieved Cam Cameron of his duties and shifted Peveto to special teams full time to focus on improving that.

he is thrust into a very hard position. he clearly understand the need for a different offensive philosophy but doesnt have the benefit of an entire summer camp and spring before it to attempt to implement it. in my book that gives him a few passes.

it would be incredibly impressive if Orgeron beats UF, Mizzou, Arkansas or Ole miss (some combination to get to 5 or 6 wins out of his 8).

im for going radio silent on herman and fisher and others and let Orgeron do his thing for a bit. behind the scenes, the powers that be can talk to whoever. im actually pretty excited about orgeron.

Absolutely not. Only way I'd be okay with him staying is if he ran the table

I really hope our admin isn't as dumb as our fans, and I really hope F King and the like don't read fan support as a way to get the next coach on the cheap.

Ed O should only be considered under one circumstance. He goes 7-1 at worst, AND Herman/Fisher both say no. That is it.

Obviously he has to at least go 6-2, that may not be enough.

But the key will be is if LSU can pull someone they want. If Herman and Fisher decline then what? I dont want us to settle for a coach. Id keep O on until you get what you think is a homerun

Dear Derek Ponamsky,

Stop posting on this board.

If you're the personal assistant, then pick up the clean tear-away shirts from the cleaners, keep the coffee hot and the cush-cush cold.

Ogeron is 16-27 as a head coach.

6-2 would make him 22-27 A LOSING RECORD.

Are you just addicted to losing???

I've already predicted he'll go 6-2, just like he did at USC. And he will not get promoted, just like USC.

I love him as an ASST coach. The players love him, but I am not ready to hand over THIS program to him. This is A HUGE hire for LSU.... Probably the biggest ever.....

We didn't fire Les to hire Orgeron on full time. Only way coach O stays is if he does 7-1 or better and our first choices say no
