I was a bit too young to remember but seems like he was decent at the time, no?

he was good under dinardo for 95, 96, 97 and 98

Tepper was dinardo's downfall. then the offense was putrid in 99 after watts left and Bob McConnell was promoted from WR's coach.

Yeah, decent. DiNardo fell apart after he lost his coordinators

Our offense still put up points when he was here, but Tepper killed us on D.

Watts was ok.
The '98 offense was very productve but was unfortunately paired with Lou Teppers crappy defense.

I liked Morris Watts. He ran a lot of rollout action for Tyler since he was mobile and short. Quarterback draws, used the tight ends and back in the passing game, etc.

He was an absolute joke. He stated after a Tennessee loss, where the Vol players said they knew the exact plays LSU was going to run, and I quote: "It doesn't matter if the opposing team knows the play. It's all about a helmet on a helmet. If we execute the play will be successful." This was in the early 80's. Obviously Les STILL believes this.

Morris was at Michigan State and told Saban LSU was a seeping giant. So I will say he was a good one!

He was better than decent - I would say very good, bordering on excellent. He ran a very efficient, balanced college offense, with pro elements.

As someone who was out there at that time, Watts was horrendous as an OC and an a-hole to boot. He still cannot tell you which endzone a team needs to reach to score. LSU scored in spite of him.
