Anthony's makes the best muffeletta I've ever had, and that includes central grocery.
Anthony's is solid, but I prefer the Italian Special TBH IMO
And I think Maxwell's Muffoletta gives Anthony's a run for their money

This is probably a stupid question, but 12-13 years ago I was working during a shut-down at the GP mill in Port Hudson and staying at a hotel in BR.
Somewhere on 61 between BR and Port Hudson was a little convenience store (maybe a gas station or former gas station) that always had a huge pile of fresh-made poboys in the morning (hot sausage, bbq sausage, fried shrimp, fried oyster) and I would stop and buy 2 ($5.00 each) and eat one on the way to work and one for lunch.
Has anyone else ever heard of this place? I seem to remember the poboys being amazing.
