there were two E-350 box trucks stolen in Kenner last week as well.

I bet all of it is going to illegal work crews.

Your entire life is in a trailer, and you don't think to put a lock on it?

I missed the part where they said that the trailer didn't have a lock on it??? There would be that one a-hole in the group.

I know hindsight is annoying but a tongue lock and a lock on one of the wheels and the trailer isn't going anywhere.

i put two locks on each of my trailers if I park them anywhere but my yard. Trailers are too easy to steal. You can buy out of state permanent plates on Ebay.

How often do you think cops run trailer plates? Heck I see trailers every day with no plate.

I do hope the trailer in the OP is returned. The reason I lock mine up so much is my first 5x8 was stolen.

Hopefully it's returned. To the other trailer owners reading this. No less than two locks, and make sure no lock has any visible shaft that can be cut by bolt cutters.

Directly from the Facebook Link in OP..."It had locks on it that they had to have cut off."

I have cut off a few of those little locks with a sawzall, but those big yellow ones that go around and in the coupler require a grinder, which requires power

This is kind of a crazy story. How many meth head scum bags does it take to steal a trailer? Apparently 12, but they say more arrests may be coming. And there are a lot more charges than just felony theft, including child porn and negligent homicide....among others. Story doesn't go into how those are associated with this trailer but I'd imagine the scum started turning on all their friends with the quickness once they got locked up in hopes of getting out quicker. I love a good ending.
