I noticed this as well. It just seemed different from previous seasons.
I can't get past this episode. What I mean is, how riveting it was. It was gut wrenching and very tense.
The graphic factor definitely went way up.
I'm not saying they crossed the line, as you stated there were warnings all the time but damn, it definitely got the audience right in the emotions.
I thought it would be Abraham since before Negan showed up last season but the brutality of it was..... I mean, damn.
I'll still watch the show though. Definitely riveting. I haven't been this hooked in a while on it in a while.
Glenn, I didn't see that coming. Again, the brutality of it, it hits the audience right in their emotions.
The writers did very well but I can certainly understand all the disclaimers before resuming after a commercial break.

Concerning television, it had to be one of the best hours of TV ever and I'm saying that even as the overall quality of TWD has been low lately.
Just the tension and uneasiness and brutal graphic violence was so palpable. I don't think many, if any television shows have been able to reach the level of what they did.

I agree, it absolutely baffles me that violence on par of what happened especially to Glenn is more acceptable than dropping the f-bomb or showing minor nudity.

One issue that I have is that Negan killed exactly the 2 people IMO, that he would killed if he had just sat in his RV and binge watched the whole series.
Immediately eliminate all the women and Carl. Im trying to remember if we've ever seen a man kill a human woman on this show.
So that leaves Abe, Glenn, Gay, Darryl and Rick.
Scratch off Gay cause he knows no one gives a frick about him. Scratch off Rick cause he knows he's the leader and he wants to frick with him. Abe is clearly going to be one of them. He's big and strong and a protector of the group. So now Darryl or Glenn? Well Glenn has more going for him...splat. Its like he was in the writers room lol.

Kind of off topic I guess, but is it safe to assume that the wolves are done?? I don't remember alexandrians getting any closure with that group... was their last run in with the wolves the last we'll hear from them

Last I recall the Wolves were getting massacred at Alexandria by Carol. I think they're done.

We saw Carol kill a human little GIRL on this show!
We, also, saw Carol kill two women when she and Maggie were captured by part of this group.
We saw Beth get killed at the hospital and then the police bitch killed.
