Bama has Auburn to compete with...also surrounded by SEC schools. But they border states loaded with talent (Ga, Fla, Miss). I would say LSU has it better regarding in state but bama can recruit more nationally.

Bama doesn't need Alabama talent to get the best classes in the country. They, like USC and Note Dame, can recruit coast to coast. Bama doesn't really have to recruit talent, what they do is SELECT talent. There is a difference there. But for just a regular program< LSU is in a pretty good recruiting situation other than when it comes to OL's, LB's. and QB's. We are in a good recruiting situation for DB's, DL's to some extent, RB's, and WR's.
