No offense OP but you can tow a lot of shite with a gas burner. My 2500 HD with 6.0 has pulled some weight. I don't know exactly how much but I wouldn't be scared of a 32' 5th wheel camper
If money isn't an issue then of corse go with the diesel but you could save 10k with a gas

I will be buying used. I am not totally against a gasser. I have just read many camper chat boards, most recommended diesels for tow vehicles.

My 3/4 ton gasser has pulled 250k miles worth of heavy shite. They're badass these days.
