Gun Club- Fire of Love.....Las Vegas blows.
Jesus and Mary Chain....the answer is Psycho Candy.
X. More Fun in the New World
Sonic Youth. Daydream Nation
Replacements. Let it Bleed
Smiths. Queen is Dead
Billy Bragg. Brewing Up ....even those it's a combo of 2 EPs.
Green on Red. Gravity Talks
Thin White Rope. Moonhead
Television. Marquee Moon
REm Murmur
U2 War or Boy

Lots of good choices already...
Soft Boys - Underwater Moonlight
Mission of Burma - Vs.
The Feelies - Crazy Rhythms (or The Good Earth)
Rank and File - Sundown
Husker Du - Zen Arcade (or New Day Rising)
Volcano Suns - The Bright Orange Years
Wire - Pink Flag
Then you have all those NZ bands that created the Dunedin Sound at that time.. they mainly released singles, comps, eps during that timeframe.. the most notable being...
The Clean
The Chills
The Verlaines - Hallelujah All the Way Home

TO each his own. Vegas and Miami are my two favorite albums by them. I realize The Fire of Love is the more "groundbreaking" of the three.

For most it is. I like Badlands. I like both.

I do not know why this files under post-punk. I see others in the media classify it as such, but I have never understood why.
