Having trouble with adaway and android 7? this will solve it

First if you run into "merging host files failed" message, don't CHANGE ANYTHING with adaway.
Instead go to the play store & download "terminal emulator for android".
Launch it
Type
And SuperSU dialog will pop up prompting you to grant this access. Say OK.
Next type each of these (hit RETURN after each line):
Go back to adaway and run it again. This time the host file building/merging will work.
DO NOT CHANGE THE HOST FILE LOCATION IN ADAWAY.
I'm sure eventually a new version of adaway will come out that avoids this, but this is the quickest/easiest way to get it running.
Reinstalled Android 7 3x today and this worked every time so I feel confident it will work for you.
(note cad sure as hell didn't come up with this, the adaway github forum is where I stole this trick from)
