We may be moving back to the BTR area in a few years and I can tell you that we won't buy a house rebuilt by a do it yourselfer.
If the house was flooded, I'm going to want to see reciepts of pro contractors.
You CAN do a lot of things, that doesn't mean you SHOULD do them.
I know a lot of people that know just enough electrical that they can get themselves into serious trouble.
People that don't know what they don't know - think they can fix anything as well as professionals.
