I can't believe they were at J.R Crickets even though when I would go a few years ago it looked nothing like that

I liked it. Thought it dealt with a lot of stuff you don't usually see on TV and they avoided a lot of the cliches. These are just some dudes trying to get by. Felt like a slice of life thing.

Had lowered expectations because the commercials were so off but it really delivered.

I'm nervous about this since Glover is such a weird dude. But I like him a lot and love his music, so I am hopeful about Atlanta. The reviews have me hopeful that I will love it.

He's supposed to release new music soon to I believe.

I will probably get blasted on here for this...

but so far it has a Mad Men feel. slow burning story with humor interspersed.

I am a fan and I am looking forward to having a new show.

Haven't really watched Mad Men but I do agree with the character of the show. At times it feels almost like a comedy but then it pulls you right back down to earth.

Those were absolutely excellent episodes. I didn't know how much humor he was going to put in there since I know he's trying to be more serious, but there was a good bit, perfectly timed and came at you fast.

I'm excited for next week now

Wait is it a half hour show and they showed two? Or is it an hour long show and they showed two?

Haven't seen this yet but JR Crickets had to move when the original one on Spring Street burned down in late 2013.

It's a half hour show and showed two, but they were bundled in the same hour timeslot

Thank you! I just wamted to make sure the hour block I recorded was not just the first episode. I can't wait to watch it later tonight.

I thought it was great. I was really impressed with the dialogue. It was quick with a bunch of jab laughs like Arrested Development. It's nothing like that, but that's what came to mind. Darius was hilarious.

I had zero expectations and was pleasantly surprised. After 1 episode, I'll say it's the best new show I've seen in a couple years.

I enjoyed it. I had some concerns for a few reasons. 1st I think I read that Donald is the only person writing the show that has real prior experience in a writers room. Another is just how much Donald has changed since leaving Community. I wasn't sure if he could be funny like he was in the past. But there was definitely some funny stuff in the two episodes last night. I'll continue to tune in
