We actually tried Gold Bond and it gave him enough relief to be able to sleep. The sores he had are looking better now because he didn't scratch and lick them all night.

Yes, this seemed like the best option we had on hand, and it plus the benadryl really seemed to help overnight. He's not nearly as red and irritated as he was last night.
