NYC is hot as hell in the summer. We went in July this year -- hot hot hot. But we still enjoyed it. Took my 15 yo dtr and had a blast honestly. She even took dance classes at a dance studio while there. $20 for 90 minutes and she was in Heaven.
Boston is awesome -- we went in September one year and it was amazing.
I'd love to go to Oregon or Yellowstone. Or Yosemite.

Its a crap shoot. We were there the first week in August and it was warm but not ctazy hot. A week earlier and it was shitty.
