Buddy Holly's a particularly sad story in that he was only 22 at the time and still had so much to give to music. He was a major innovator in the studio and as a guitar player. Also, had an impactful singing voice for the groups that came after.

Here's my thing with Holly...not only did he die way too young, but I would have loved to have seen him flourish in a musical era where he could have just let loose. Every time I listen to Peggy Sue I not only love the song, but hear someone who would really let loose if given the chance if not confined to the restraints that he had in the 50's.
