Seriously, you would need at least 10,000 season ticket holders. Season tickets for a major league team usually cost at least $2,000. How many people in New Orleans would have the interest in baseball and the disposable income to plop down $2,000+ for season tickets to a MLB team? I bet it would be a lot less than 10,000 people. Also, New Orleans would have to build a baseball stadium that require public financing. Would the citizens of New Orleans be willing to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes to build a MLB stadium? I sincerely doubt it.
