all this is true too. I was driving on ice in SW PA up mountain roads. Just don't see the need in S. LA

AWD in S LA nope I don’t see the need and I lived in LA for 11 yrs. I am in southern Canada and do I need AWD .... only for 5-10 days but when I need it its really nice to have. First awd was a RAV and its great in snow, just got a Subaru and expect it to be the same.
When I rent cars in winter especially up north I always rent AWD
No one can drive on ice w/ or w/o AWD
