Reap what you sow, Mizzou, you disgrace of the SEC.

As of the first day of classes, Mizzou enrolled 4,799 freshmen — the smallest class in almost a decade. That number is down more than 1,600 incoming freshmen from fall 2015.
University officials braced for a smaller freshman class for months following a string of events last fall that brought the campus under national scrutiny. Protests centered largely around matters of race led to deep divisions among the campus and community and to the resignation of the school’s top two leaders.
Preliminary data show a 12 percent decline in out-of-state undergraduate students, and a 6 percent decline of in-state undergraduate students compared to fall 2015.
Graduate student enrollment also took a hit of about 7 percent. A falling-out last year between graduate students and administration was another national narrative after the students lost their benefits and voted to unionize.

The drop is even worse than officials at the school were predicting last spring. In March, interim chancellor Hank Foley warned the school was facing a drop of 1,500 students.
The decline is wreaking havoc on the school’s budget, which has a hole of about $30 million. To contain costs and reflect its shrinking population, the school has already shuttered several dormitories.

I wish that the SEC had never taken Mizzou in. Terrible fit. St. Louis TV market isn't worth it.

We really need to kick them out

Enrollment is indeed down. A few old dorms were in fact closed. This was expected to occur before CS1950 used Mizzou as a test bed for radical racism.
Regardless, enrollment will soon bounce back. CS1950 will fade with time.
And, most importantly, Mizzou will return to kicking arse in football this year including a victory over LSU at Death Valley.
It's coming...

The free market is a thing of fricking beauty sometimes.

I almost never do this, but I'll be cheering for y'all.

We should have added West Virginia instead.

Good that school deserves everything it gets for the way they managed that BS

Of course you'll be cheering for LSU, OMLandshark, considering Ole Miss can't figure out how to defeat Mizzou. You and your favorite team should be embarrassed you allow Mizzou to dominate your prideful school as much as we have.
All you can do is cheer for another school to hopefully do the job your school cannot.

I just wanted to let you know that you don't sound defensive or in denial at all in this thread. Carry on.

Oh well, they bowed down to all the race bullshite. They can suck it as far as I'm concerned.

and you don't sound like you're grasping at anything to justify your incredibly racist and unintelligent point-of-view regarding Mizzou.
Careful, son. You're treading in turbulent waters. If Mizzou's handling of COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED RADICAL RACISM is open for criticism, I guess Baton Rouge's race debacle is open for criticism too.
I mean...Mizzou fans warned y'all.
ETA: It's going to be Hell on this site when Mizzou beats LSU.

That's not going to happen.

If a University head doesn't study the carnage at Missouri and stand up to this non-sense then they should be fired on the spot when confronted with it. This is a case study which shows that All ethnic groups will boycott a university. The 4799 number by the way is before the drop outs hit too which is typically another 3-4% in the first semester (does not include those who flunk out which pushed the numbers up to another 10% roughly.
Mizzou is going to have a very difficult time retaining the best and brightest professors because budget cuts will only cripple them more.

Yes, "grasping at anything." Like, you know, numbers and objective data.
And thinking you don't belong in the SEC and handled the entire situation incorrectly apparently is "racist."
Boy you sure is mad this morning. And that just makes my morning even better.

Do the Nancies at Mizzoo blame this on their reaction or to the "events" leading up to the national security? If it's the latter this might just be the second smallest class in a decade next fall.
